3D LASER BW manufactures metal direct components with complex geometries and hollow or lattice structures. In addition to additive manufacturing, the entire component design and manufacturing process, from consulting, design, simulation, and feasibility testing to mechanical post-processing of 3D printing (using our own 5-axis CNC machining), surface treatment, and assembly of components.

All relevant quality data is documented and, upon request, provided in a test report. This ensures complete traceability and process reliability throughout the entire manufacturing process.

The machinery

The centerpiece of CNC manufacturing at 3D Laser BW is a Hermle C400, a high-precision 5-axis machining center that is reliably in use. The machine belongs to the premium class of universal milling machines and is specially designed for demanding geometries, complex contours, and maximum dimensional accuracy.
With this system, workpieces can be machined simultaneously on five sides in a single setup – even with free-form surfaces, undercuts, or geometries that are difficult to access. This not only reduces re-clamping operations, but also ensures high dimensional accuracy, excellent surface quality, and maximum process reliability – even with delicate components or materials that are difficult to machine.
