In the fourth quarter, the new corporate website goes live – another milestone in providing all customers with a comprehensive and detailed service.
By the end of 2024, the company has grown to seven employees and now offers a seamless process chain – from design through additive manufacturing and machining to the finishing of series components.
3D Laser BW revamps its corporate identity and presents itself with a new brand image: more modern, fresh, and clearly positioned in the market.
At the same time, investments are made in the production area: a new Meba band saw is acquired to enable the precise and efficient separation of additively manufactured components directly in-house.
The machine park is expanded with two additional AM systems of the type ProX 320 from 3D Systems, each with a build volume of 275 x 275 x 400 mm. To work directly on volume models instead of conventional STL data, the specialists at 3D Laser BW introduce the 3D Expert software from 3D Systems for data preparation and design.

3D Laser becomes 3D Laser BW GmbH & Co. KG, managed by Oliver Wagner and Silvio Peschke. From this year on, 3D Laser BW GmbH & Co. KG is part of the BENSELER Group, headquartered in Markgröningen.

With the company’s growth, the machine park is expanded: an EOS M 290 is commissioned – another high-performance LPBF system with a build volume of 250 x 250 x 300 mm. This strengthens 3D Laser’s capacity and flexibility in additive series production, particularly for demanding applications in aerospace, medical technology, and mechanical engineering.
The company is successfully certified according to DIN ISO 9001.
Technology expertise since 2011 – with pioneering spirit in SLM from the very beginning
3D Laser is founded in 2011 by Oliver Wagner, with a clear focus on Additive Manufacturing using the Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) process, also known as Selective Laser Melting (SLM).
In the founding year, the company commissions its first industrial SLM system – an M3 Linear from Concept Laser (Lichtenfels) with a build volume of 290 x 320 x 280 mm. This machine already enables the production of highly complex metal components with outstanding dimensional accuracy and detailing.
At the same time, SolidWorks is introduced as a design platform for the development of additively manufactured, function-optimized components. This lays the foundation for today’s end-to-end process chain, from the CAD model to the ready-to-use product.

Proximity to customers is essential for the BENSELER Group. Direct contact and short decision-making paths are a priority. This is why the BENSELER Group is represented at nine locations in Germany and at three additional sites abroad.
